Biathlon: Franziska Preuß Makes a Comeback!

Franziska Preuß, the biathlete, has returned from her relaxing vacation in Thailand and is now focusing on her preparations for the Olympic winter season. Speaking at a sponsor event for Alpenhain, she described the importance of taking a break to reset her mind and body, stating that it felt good to not think about biathlon for a while.

Now, she is eager to restart her training, emphasizing that she has had little time for sports lately. "From mid-May onwards, I will be again regularly hitting the tracks at the stadium," she affirmed. Preuß celebrated a successful season, winning the overall biathlon World Cup, making it the best of her career.

The upcoming Olympic Games in February 2026 in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo are especially motivating for her, as they will be her fourth participation in Olympic biathlon events, which will take place in Antholz. She looks forward to experiencing such a major sporting event with the excitement of fans and a vibrant atmosphere, highlighting that this serves as a significant motivation for her to intensify her training over the summer.
