Norway claimed an emphatic victory in the men’s biathlon relay in Austria. The margin was comfortable enough that Norway’s anchor, Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen, performed an unusual celebratory gesture as he approached the finish line.
Christiansen, 33, later explained that the gesture was meant to mimic “a bull,” a playful flourish in the final meters of a one‑sided race. The result capped a commanding performance by the Norwegian team.
Sweden also featured prominently, securing a podium place in the relay. The article links to related coverage of the women’s relay, which Sweden won, and additional reactions from athletes and experts following the men’s relay finish.
