Biathlon World Cup: ageless Wierer third in France in the pursuit

Dorothea Wierer continues to deliver at the highest level. The Italian biathlete secured third place in the women’s 10 km pursuit at the IBU Biathlon World Cup in Le Grand‑Bornand (near Annecy, France), marking the 52nd World Cup podium of her career.
The race was won by France’s Lou Jeanmonnot, with Finland’s Suvi Minkkinen taking second. Italy recorded a strong team result with Lisa Vittozzi in sixth and Rebecca Passler in 13th.
On the men’s side, Norway’s Johan‑Olav Botn continued his winning form, taking victory in the pursuit. Italy’s Tommaso Giacomel produced a comeback to finish 15th. The World Cup round in Le Grand‑Bornand concludes with mass start races scheduled for the following day.
