Austria’s Lisa Hauser captured the women’s 10 km pursuit in Östersund, earning her first World Cup victory since 2022. Beginning from fourth on the grid after the sprint, the 31‑year‑old Tiroler delivered a flawless performance on the range with 20 hits from 20 shots.
After the final shooting, leader Suvi Minkkinen incurred one penalty, and Hauser left the range 12.1 seconds behind. Over the final two kilometres, Hauser closed the gap, overtook the Finn at the last intermediate, and crossed the line 2.5 seconds ahead.
“It’s been a difficult few years. I had wins in every individual format except the pursuit—that was a big career goal, and today it happened,” Hauser said. She now heads to the home World Cup in Hochfilzen with confidence. Before this, she had previously won at least once in the sprint, mass start and individual.
Sweden’s Anna Magnusson, with one miss, finished third at +31.8 seconds. Among the other Austrians, Anna Gandler (two misses) placed 26th and Dunja Zdouc (one miss) finished 35th. The victory marks Hauser’s sixth career World Cup win and her first since the Annecy mass start in 2022.
