Biathlon rollerski success in Munich: Double Swedish podium

A large crowd in Munich watched a rollerski biathlon showcase where Sweden delivered a double podium in the women’s final. Italy’s Lisa Vittozzi won, while Sweden’s Johanna Skottheim took second and Anna Magnusson third.

SVT expert Mona Brorsson praised the Swedes’ form, calling them “world‑class” and saying the performance is a strong confirmation that their preparation is on track. The trio on the women’s podium—Vittozzi, Skottheim, and Magnusson—each incurred two penalty misses, but Vittozzi separated herself with the quickest shooting in the final.

Skottheim said she pushed hard on the last lap trying to catch Vittozzi and was very satisfied with her day. Magnusson noted she emptied the tank to secure third and focused on holding her place to the finish.

In the men’s final, France’s Eric Perrot took the victory. Sweden’s Viktor Brandt finished sixth with four misses.
