Sunday at Milano‑Cortina continues the medal hunt across ski jumping, biathlon, cross‑country, freestyle and snowboard. Freeski big air qualifying and snowboard slopestyle qualifying also take place.

Suvi Minkkinen goes into the biathlon pursuit starting from sixth position and is well placed to fight for a medal.

Finland’s women celebrated an Olympic bronze on Saturday; on Sunday it’s the men’s turn. The Finnish men’s relay team — Lauri Vuorinen, Iivo Niskanen, Arsi Ruuskanen and Niko Anttola — will try to reach the podium. The last time Finnish men medalled in the Olympic relay was at Nagano 1998 (bronze).

Snowboard slopestyle qualifying (men) features Rene Rinnekangas; the women’s slopestyle qualifying with Eveliina Taka is scheduled later — those qualifiers were moved from Monday to Sunday.

In freeski moguls Finland’s entries are Akseli Ahvenainen, Rasmus Karjalainen, Olli Penttala and Severi Vierelä. Ahvenainen and Penttala reached the moguls final; Karjalainen and Vierelä were eliminated in qualifying.

In biathlon both men and women have pursuit races. Among the Finnish men in the pursuit are Olli Hiidensalo, Tero Seppälä, Tuomas Harjula and Otto Invenius. Among the women only Suvi Minkkinen qualified for the pursuit and is in a strong position for the medals.

In ski jumping Finland will for the first time in its Olympic history field four women in the large hill: Heta Hirvonen, Minja Korhonen, Sofia Mattila and Jenny Rautionaho will jump on Predazzo’s HS141. In freeski big air qualifying Finns Kuura Koivisto, Elias Lajunen and Elias Syrjä will try to reach the final.
