Candid Tandrevold: “I’m really angry with myself” after Annecy pursuit

Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold was forthright about her frustration after the women’s pursuit in Annecy–Le Grand-Bornand. The 29‑year‑old Norwegian hit 18 of 20 targets and finished 24th, having been perfect (15/15) until the last standing stage, where two misses cost her a much stronger result.
“I’m really angry with myself. I ruin it for myself and it’s so frustrating. I really wanted to race tomorrow and knew I had to deliver a good race today,” Tandrevold told NRK.
France’s Lou Jeanmonnot took the victory, with Finland’s Suvi Minkkinen second and Italy’s Dorothea Wierer third. Among the Norwegians, Maren Kirkeeide was best in 12th place. Marthe Kråkstad Johansen shot clean across all four stages and finished 15th, Karoline Knotten placed 21st, and Åsne Skrede was 48th.
With about six weeks until the Winter Olympics in Italy, NRK commentator Torgeir Bjørn suggested that Norway’s women’s Olympic team picture is already coming into focus: Kirkeeide, Knotten, Tandrevold and Kråkstad Johansen are well positioned for selection, with one additional spot likely to be filled.
