Originally published in Sveriges Radio – Radiosporten on December 28, 2025
Alvar Myhlback says he is ready for the first Tour de Ski of his career, a competition he has followed for years and describes as a legendary event.
The 19‑year‑old made headlines earlier in December by finishing a sensational third in the World Cup classic sprint in Trondheim. Now, however, the Tour de Ski begins with a freestyle sprint, a format the long‑distance specialist has not previously raced at World Cup level.
According to the update, Myhlback was knocked out in sprint qualifying. Radiosporten is carrying live coverage of the Tour de Ski sprint finals on P4 and in the Sveriges Radio app from 14:03.
