Cross-Country World Cup: Stadlober 14th in Davos – Vermeulen 50th

Teresa Stadlober placed 14th in the women’s 10 km individual start freestyle at the Cross-Country World Cup in Davos. The Austrian finished 52.8 seconds behind Norway’s Karoline Simpson-Larsen, who won ahead of Sweden’s Moa Ilar (+2.1) and Norway’s Astrid Øyre Slind (+2.2).
In the men’s race, Austria’s Mika Vermeulen had a difficult day and finished 50th, 1:46 behind Norway’s winner Einar Hedegart. Hedegart headed a strong Norwegian showing, with compatriots Harald Østberg Amundsen and Mattis Stenshagen joining him on the podium. Overall World Cup leader Johannes Høsflot Klæbo finished fourth.
The report also mentions that the International Ski Federation (FIS) has recently given clearance for three Russian and six Belarusian athletes to attempt Olympic qualification under a neutral flag for the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Games. Among the cross-country skiers, Savely Korostelev competed in Davos and finished 25th.
