Ebba Andersson on her knee injury: “Not 100% recovered”

Swedish cross-country skier Ebba Andersson says she is still not fully recovered from a knee injury she suffered during a run this summer, an issue that has affected her preseason preparation ahead of the Olympic winter.
According to Andersson, she has been unable to do any running during summer training and has instead spent more time on rollerskis and the bike to maintain fitness. “I’m not one hundred percent recovered, but I’ve gradually gotten better function in the knee, and the hope going forward is that it keeps moving in the right direction,” she says.
The update underscores that while Andersson remains on track with alternative training, her readiness for early-season racing will depend on continued improvement in the coming weeks.
