Edvin Anger, who missed the sprint final at the Tour de Ski and was left frustrated, delivered a strong response in the men’s 10 km classic in Toblach. In sunny, near-perfect conditions, the 23‑year‑old Swede finished fifth, 29 seconds behind the winner.

Norway’s Mattis Stenshagen took the victory, followed by compatriots Johannes Høsflot Klæbo and Emil Iversen. Finland’s Iivo Niskanen placed fourth, just ahead of Anger, who called the performance “a step in the right direction.”

Among the Swedes, Truls Gisselman was 18th, William Poromaa 24th, Gustaf Berglund 25th, Johan Ekberg 32nd, Eric Rosjö 55th, Alvar Myhlback 56th, Anton Grahn 60th, and Jonas Eriksson 86th. Anger said his body “responded better” compared to the sprint and that the result was reassuring given the high level of competition.

The race is part of the Tour de Ski stage series, contested at the Nordic Arena in Toblach (Dobbiaco).
