Norway’s Einar Hedegart, who has moved from biathlon to cross‑country skiing, continued his breakout start to the season by winning the men’s 10 km freestyle World Cup race in Davos.
Hedegart, who earned his first World Cup victory in Trondheim the previous weekend (also over 10 km freestyle), went to the front by the halfway mark in Davos and extended his lead over the final kilometers. He stopped the clock 11.7 seconds ahead of compatriot Harald Østberg Amundsen, with Mattis Stenshagen completing an all‑Norwegian podium at +18.8.
Sweden’s Gustaf Berglund was the top Swede in 15th place. He said he started conservatively, slipped to 49th at the first split, then pushed hard to salvage a solid result.
Competing as a neutral athlete, Russian prospect Saveliy Korostelev finished 25th, 1 minute 20 seconds behind Hedegart.
Hedegart said the second win “tastes even better than the first,” adding that winning by a clear margin is what he trains for.
