Norwegian Erik Valnes will not compete in any more stages of this year’s Tour de Ski.
“He feels tired and not sufficiently recovered after four races so far in this year’s Tour,” Claes‑Tommy Herland of the Norwegian Ski Federation said Friday evening.
Valnes is 37th in the overall standings.
The news comes on the tour’s final rest day. Two stages remain: Saturday’s sprint and Sunday’s mass start.
On Thursday it was announced that both Astrid Øyre Slind and Oskar Opstad Vike would also not finish the tour.
