Tuesday was a rest day during the ongoing Tour de Ski.

Despite that, Frida Karlsson injured herself during an evening training session — something she showed on social media.

"It looks worse than it was," she tells SVT Sport.

Wednesday was not a good race day for Frida Karlsson. The new format with a 5 km mass start run in heats did not suit the Swede and she finished 52nd.

"I feel good at the start but then it’s like a drop that makes the cup overflow and I go numb and have trouble going to the red zone, I can’t ski with the lactic acid," she says to SVT Sport.

She also described the final preparations before the race when the accident happened during Tuesday evening’s training session.
