Frida Karlsson, one of Sweden’s leading cross-country skiers, is among the nominees for the prestigious Jerring Prize, a fan-voted national sports award in Sweden. In a clip from the upcoming SVT series “Utan filter – längdlandslaget mot OS” (Without Filter – the cross-country team towards the Olympics), viewers see the moment Karlsson receives a call from Swedish Radio informing her of the nomination.
Reacting with surprise and joy—“Fun. Wow! Is this Candid Camera?”—Karlsson learns she is being recognized for her triumph in the women’s 50 km at the 2025 World Championships in Trondheim, where she finished ahead of Norway’s Heidi Weng and Therese Johaug.
The behind-the-scenes series premieres on SVT on November 27 and follows Sweden’s cross-country team as it prepares for the next Olympic Winter Games.
