Norway’s leading cross‑country skiers lauded Swedish teenager Alvar Myhlback after his breakthrough sprint performance in Trondheim.
Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, who won the classic sprint at Granåsen to claim the 100th World Cup victory of his career, told Swedish media that Myhlback’s race deserved the utmost respect: “You just have to tip your hat.”
Norway’s Erik Valnes also hailed the Swede’s level, calling it “incredibly impressive,” and added that Myhlback “should absolutely go to the Olympics.”
The praise followed a World Cup podium where Klæbo finished first, Oskar Opstad Vike was second, and Alvar Myhlback took third, underscoring the young Swede’s rapid rise at the international level.
