Finnish cross‑country star Krista Pärmäkoski announced on Tuesday that she will return home from Davos earlier than planned after falling ill.
“Davos didn’t disappoint this time either, but the (virus) won and the trip home starts ahead of schedule,” she wrote on Instagram.
According to Pärmäkoski, the troubles that began last weekend have continued, and her initial competition plans will have to be revised. “It’s clear there will be a change to the original race calendar and we’ll start thinking about a new plan,” she said, adding that she remains confident: “I’ve managed with plan B before, and I have to believe in it now, too.”
Her update quickly drew messages of support from fans and fellow skiers.
The article also lists the Davos World Cup program for 12–14 December 2025: team sprint free on Friday, individual sprint free on Saturday, and a 10 km interval start free on Sunday.
