Sweden is set to announce its Tour de Ski team on Thursday, but national team manager Anders Byström has already said that 19 athletes will be selected. With that figure, Swedish media have calculated that rising Swedish talent Alvar Myhlback is among those chosen, a detail first reported by Viaplay.
According to former sprint star and expert Hanna Falk, competing in the Tour de Ski would give Myhlback an important chance to test the Olympic course and conduct his own analysis ahead of 2026. The Tour de Ski is part of the FIS Cross‑Country World Cup, making it a key stage race on the international calendar for Sweden’s squad.
Radiosporten notes the official squad announcement comes tomorrow, but the team size and reporting strongly indicate Myhlback’s inclusion.
