Sweden wrapped up a strong women’s World Cup weekend in Davos as Moa Ilar surged to second place in the 10 km race.
“I’m insanely happy,” Ilar told SVT Sport, adding that competing at altitude had been an uncertainty for her beforehand. “It was tricky, but I think I paced it perfectly for my strengths.”
The win went to Norway’s Karoline Simpson‑Larsen, who earned the first World Cup victory of her career. Astrid Øyre Slind finished third. Maja Dahlqvist was the second-best Swede in fourth, followed by Moa Lundgren in 19th, Elina Rönnlund in 21st, and Johanna Hagström in 27th.
Ilar’s result moves her to second place in the overall World Cup standings, trailing only Jessie Diggins.
