Myhlback named to Sweden’s largest-ever Tour de Ski squad; Sundling to skip the event

Sweden has announced a record-large team of 19 athletes for this season’s Tour de Ski, national team manager Anders Byström told Radiosporten.

Among those selected is 19‑year‑old talent Alvar Myhlback, who was recently confirmed for the 2026 Olympic team. The federation views the Tour as a valuable chance for him to compete across several stages and distances as part of his build‑up. By contrast, sprint star Jonna Sundling will skip the Tour de Ski this winter.

The 2024–25 Tour de Ski runs from 28 December in Toblach to 6 January in Val di Fiemme, culminating with the traditional Final Climb on Alpe Cermis.
