Swedish cross-country prospect Alvar Myhlback has firmly announced himself on the World Cup stage.
Following his third place in the sprint in Trondheim last weekend, the 19‑year‑old says he is ready to challenge Norway’s leading sprinters. “I’m not afraid,” he says in the SVT series “Utan filter – längdlandslaget mot OS.”
His podium has caused some concern in the Norwegian camp. “He is an exceptional talent,” says Norway’s national team coach Kristian Skrødal.
