“Never fun when it’s decided that way”
Norwegian skier Astrid Øyre Slind commented on the dramatic finish in the women's relay at the Milano‑Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics after Sweden's Ebba Andersson fell and lost a ski during the penalty loop.
The incident effectively ended Sweden's medal hopes in the race. Slind, who was present and witnessed the fall, described it as a nightmare for Andersson and told Radiosporten: “Never fun when it’s decided that way.”
The brief report notes that Andersson's fall and the lost ski had immediate consequences for the result and that teammates and rivals alike were visibly affected by what happened.
