Sweden produced a commanding performance in the women’s World Cup team sprint in Davos, Switzerland.
The Swedish first team of Maja Dahlqvist and Jonna Sundling controlled the race in freestyle (skate). Dahlqvist created a decisive gap late in her leg, giving Sundling a clear run to the finish to secure a comfortable victory.
Sweden’s second team, Emma Ribom and Linn Svahn, placed fifth, about six seconds behind the winning pair. Norway took the remaining podium places, with their second team finishing second and their first team third.
