Demand on Sweden’s women: “They must gain at least 30 seconds”
Originally published in Sveriges Radio (Radiosporten) on December 29, 2025
Radiosporten reports that, even before the second stage of this year’s Tour de Ski, Sweden faces a steep task in the overall battle. Expert commentator and former world champion Torgny Mogren sets a clear benchmark for the Swedish women: to remain contenders for the overall victory, they need to claw back at least 30 seconds from current leader Jessie Diggins today.
Stage 2 is a 10 km classic individual start. The men’s race begins at 11:45 and the women’s race at 14:45. Coverage is available on the Sveriges Radio app and on P4.
