Swedish 21-year-old’s breakthrough — first World Cup podium

The 21-year-old Swede Anton Grahn celebrated his first career World Cup podium on Saturday, taking third place in the classic sprint in the penultimate stage of the Tour de Ski. The sprint was held on the course that will be used for the upcoming Olympic Games in Val di Fiemme, Italy.
Grahn — who had never before stood on a World Cup podium — said to Radiosporten that the result feels like the culmination of everything he has worked for: “It’s what you have been fighting for your whole life, it feels like,” he said.
