“Swedish women’s cross‑country skiing has never been better”

Radiosporten’s ski expert Hanna Falk argues that Sweden’s women’s cross‑country skiing has never been stronger. Speaking after the World Cup races in Trondheim, she points to a tight‑knit training culture where the athletes push one another, and to a team environment that appears to be functioning exceptionally well.
Falk also warns that success brings dilemmas: with so many athletes in form, Sweden’s leadership will have difficult decisions to make when selecting Olympic line‑ups for Milano–Cortina 2026. The depth on the women’s side is a competitive advantage now, but it increases the pressure on the coaches to optimize start lists and manage expectations heading into the Games.
