At the second stage of the Tour de Ski in Toblach, Norway’s Astrid Øyre Slind was untouchable over the 10 km classic, winning by seven seconds ahead of Austria’s Teresa Stadlober. Jessie Diggins of the USA rounded out the podium at +8.8 seconds.
Germany celebrated an important milestone as Katharina Hennig Dotzler finished 10th, securing the German Olympic selection standard. After a difficult build‑up, she spoke of relief and gratitude at booking a ticket to her third Games. Hennig Dotzler also revealed she nearly had a mishap during the race when a contact lens partially froze, causing dizziness, but she managed to finish strongly.
Coletta Rydzek continued her excellent form from her sprint podium the previous day, placing 15th—her best result over 10 km—and retaining second place in the overall Tour standings. Teammate Katherine Sauerbrey finished just behind and called it a very good race.
Head coach Peter Schlickenrieder highlighted the depth of the German squad: six of seven starters reached the top 30. He praised Hennig Dotzler for breaking a psychologically important barrier and expressed overall satisfaction with the team’s performance.
