Mustasaari Allocates Resident Budget for Tuovila Ski Trail Renovation

Mustasaari's 2024 resident budget will focus on renovating the Tuovila ski trail, which triumphed in the recent community vote. With an allocation of €15,000, this project received an impressive 229 votes, making it the clear favorite in a competitive election.
Residents submitted a total of 102 proposals for the resident budget, primarily aimed at enhancing green spaces and sports facilities. In the final voting round, nine proposals were up for consideration:
- Renovation of the Tuovila ski trail: 229 votes
- Cableway to the Koivulahti school area: 203 votes
- Stands at the Karperö sports field: 198 votes
- Deepening and expanding the swimming area at Petsmo beach: 178 votes
- Lighting for the Sveden playground in Böle: 149 votes
- Outdoor gym in Veikkaala: 96 votes
- Outdoor gym at Østerhankmo beach: 74 votes
- New football goals and basketball hoop at the Leppäkerttu nursery yard: 34 votes
- Parkour equipment for Hankmo kindergarten: 26 votes
In total, 1,187 votes were cast. The successful proposal for the Tuovila ski trail renovation will enhance winter sports facilities for the local community and encourage outdoor activities during the colder months.
