William Poromaa disclosed after Thursday's stage of the Tour de Ski that he suspects he has broken a rib. SVT Sport can now show exclusive footage following the Swede after the injury.
In the documentary series “Utan filter – längdlandslaget mot OS” Poromaa is closely examined by the national team doctors. “I have some trouble breathing, my ribs hurt. We'll see if... I don't know, it doesn't feel good,” he says in the film.
Poromaa fell during Thursday's Tour de Ski stage and took a hard hit to his ribs. Already at the time he warned it could be the end of his race weekend, saying he suspected a rib fracture.
Friday is a rest day in the Tour, and it is unclear whether the 25-year-old will continue competing.
