Swedish cross-country skier William Poromaa expressed concern about his form following the national season opener in Gällivare. The 24‑year‑old finished 19th and was 1 minute and 20 seconds behind winner Edvin Anger.

Speaking to Radiosporten, Poromaa said his body does not feel good and that he is worried about the World Cup premiere in Ruka, Finland, next weekend. “It doesn’t look bright, it looks very bad,” he said.

The result and Poromaa’s comments come just days before the international circuit opens, underscoring uncertainty about his readiness for the first World Cup races of the season.
