Hagen dominates Nordic Combined World Cup in Ramsau as German collapses on course

Norway underlined its Olympic-season strength in Nordic combined at the World Cup in Ramsau on Friday morning.
In the women’s race, Ida Marie Hagen was untouchable in the cross-country portion, winning by 28.9 seconds over Alexa Brabec. Marte Leinan Lund took third place, just ahead of teammate Hanna Midtsundstad. Hagen then protected her advantage in the ski jumping round to claim her second World Cup victory of the season.
A worrying moment came just before the 3.2 km mark when Germany’s 19‑year‑old Nathalie Armbruster collapsed on an uphill section. She stayed down for roughly 15–20 seconds before getting back to her feet and continuing. Armbruster crossed the line in 13th, about a minute and a half behind Hagen, and was assisted by team staff after finishing, according to NRK.
In the men’s competition, Norway’s Jens Lurås Oftebro skied powerfully to win the cross-country leg and start the jumping phase in the lead. After the jump, he finished second overall, with Austria’s Thomas Rettenegger taking the victory.
The performances from Hagen and Oftebro reinforce Norway’s form heading toward the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.
