
Hirvonen claims first PCR win in Predazzo

The Women’s FIS Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix in Val di Fiemme, Italy, opened under clear skies with the Provisional Competition Round (PCR) on the normal hill in Predazzo (HS109).
A field of 32 athletes from 12 nations completed two training jumps before the PCR. Finland’s Heta Hirvonen delivered the top performance, flying 97 meters for 126.3 points to secure the first PCR win of her career at just 16 years old.
Seven seconds behind in second was Alexa Brabec (USA), who jumped 98.5 meters for 124.6 points. Another Finn, Minja Korhonen, took third with a 98-meter effort and 123.6 points, 11 seconds back.
Norway’s Ingrid Laate posted the day’s longest jump at 99 meters, but lower style scores left her with 115.8 points and ninth place overall.
The stage is set for the Individual Gundersen competition, scheduled to start tomorrow at 10:15 CET.
