The women’s Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup season started in Trondheim, where 35 athletes from 11 nations competed on the Grånasen HS 102 hill in two training jumps followed by a Provisional Competition Round (PCR).
Norway’s 18‑year‑old Ingrid Laate produced the jump of the day, flying 100 meters to score 127.6 points and win the PCR on home soil. Katharina Gruber took second with a 96.5‑meter jump worth 113.6 points, while American Alexa Brabec finished third after a 96‑meter effort for 109.9 points.
The PCR secures a provisional ranking that can be used if weather disrupts the official competition round and also determines start positions if applied. Attention now turns to the women’s Individual Gundersen on the following day, with the jumping round scheduled for 11:00 CET, where Laate will look to carry her strong form into the season’s first full event.
