Germany's women in Nordic Combined celebrated a great day, as Nathalie Armbruster secured second place in Ramsau – completing a strong finish with teammate Cindy Haasch in fourth.

Armbruster opened the competition with a solid fourth place in the jump event on Friday and further improved her position on the second race day. After a strong jump in the morning that placed her fourth overall, she secured her spot on the podium after completing the five-kilometer cross-country race.

Finishing just behind dominating competitor Ida Marie Hagen, who has won all previous World Cup races, Armbruster was thrilled with her second-place finish in Austria, keeping her on track for the overall standings.

"Controlled attack," was what head coach Florian Aichinger wanted to see before the afternoon's cross-country race. "Nathalie will give it her all today and fight until she drops."

And indeed, she finished 28 seconds behind Hagen, celebrating amidst cheers from the spectators. Behind her was former Nordic Combined dominator Gyda Westvold Hansen. Teammate Cindy Haasch, with an impressive performance, finished a strong fourth in Ramsau.

Germany's top twelve positions were rounded out by Jenny Nowak in tenth and Maria Gerboth in thirteenth. Talents Ronja Loh and Trine Göpfert finished 19th and 25th respectively.

After the jump, the results were promising for the German team, with Haasch taking third, Armbruster fourth, and Gerboth fifth, showcasing strong performances throughout the day.
