German Nordic combined competitor Nathalie Armbruster claimed victory in the inaugural Seefeld Nordic Combined Triple event. After recording her first German Women’s World Cup win in the compact race, Armbruster built a 53-second lead in the cross-country portion following a strong performance on the ski jump. The impressive result secured her win, with Norway’s Gyda Westvold Hansen and Japan’s Haruka Kasai finishing in second and third place respectively.
Notably, the disqualification of Norwegian Ida Marie Hagen, who had entered as series leader from Tirol, removed a major obstacle for Armbruster. Among the other competitors, Claudia Purker, who started 13th and improved to 10th in the jumping round, and 16-year-old Katharina Gruber, who set her personal best World Cup finish despite a slow start, were highlighted. This result marks a significant achievement in the international Nordic combined circuit for the young German athlete.
