At the women’s Nordic combined World Cup in Trondheim, Nathalie Armbruster reached the podium for a second straight day. After finishing second on Friday, the 19-year-old German from Kniebis placed third on Saturday.

In excellent conditions on the normal hill, Armbruster, who was seventh after the 5 km mass start race, delivered a strong jump of 93.5 meters that lifted her onto the podium. Austria’s 17‑year‑old Katharina Gruber produced the longest jump of the day at 97 meters to claim her first World Cup victory. Friday’s winner, Ida Marie Hagen of Norway, finished second. The USA’s Alexa Brabec, third on Friday, narrowly missed the podium this time.

Germany’s Jenny Nowak added another top‑ten for the DSV in tenth place with 87.5 meters, while teammates Tina Göpfert and Ronja Loh were 13th and 15th. Among those unable to convert were Norway’s standout ski jumper this winter, Ingrid Låte, who jumped 93 meters off a shortened inrun but lost too much time on the course, and Japan’s mass start world champion Yuna Kasai, who ended the day outside the podium.

In the earlier 5 km mass start on the tracks, Hagen clocked 13:07.60 and led ahead of three other Norwegians. Armbruster and Nowak followed at +25.8 and +34.1, respectively. Armbruster admitted the mass start is not her favorite format, calling it "incredibly hard," but was satisfied to limit the deficit and capitalize in the jumping phase.
