Rettenegger wins men’s PCR in Ramsau

The Provisional Competition Round (PCR) for the Men’s Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup in Ramsau, Austria, was held in mild conditions, featuring 60 athletes from 13 nations. After one training jump, the field contested the PCR, which can be used to determine start order and results if adverse weather disrupts the scheduled competitions.
Austria’s Thomas Rettenegger produced the day’s longest jump at 99.5 meters and totaled 131.6 points to top the standings on home soil. His teammate Franz‑Josef Rehrl placed second with a 94.5-meter jump and 130.4 points, while Paul Walcher made it an all‑Austrian top three with 93.0 meters and 125.9 points.
The dominant showing by the Austrian team highlights their strength in Ramsau and sets an exciting tone for the upcoming Nordic Combined races over the weekend.
