Nordic Combined Ramsau: Riiber's Next Victory - DSV Team Struggles with Weather

Jarl Magnus Riiber continues to dominate the Nordic Combined scene, achieving his third victory of the season amidst challenging weather conditions. The ski jumping portion was cancelled due to heavy snowfall and strong winds, forcing the competition to rely on the Provisional Competition Round (PCR) results.

Riiber's strong performance allowed him to rise from sixth place to victory, further extending his lead in the World Cup standings. The next closest competitor was Jens Luras Oftebro, who celebrated a strong second-place finish, while Estonia's Kristian Ilves secured third.

The German team, despite showing promise with Vinzenz Geiger placing fifth in the cross-country leg, couldn't adapt to the PCR results which limited their chance at the podium. Coach Eric Frenzel expressed disappointment with the weather's impact on their performance, indicating that the athletes were underperforming based on their capabilities.
