Anna Odine Strøm, 27, delivered another top performance in Sunday’s women’s World Cup large hill competition in Engelberg. After leading the event following her first jump of 132.5 meters, she concluded the day in second place. Slovenia’s Nika Prevc clinched the win with a decisive 136‑meter leap in the final round, while Strøm recorded 125 meters on her second attempt.
The podium continues a strong early season for Strøm, who won earlier in December in Poland and has collected several podium finishes. She has regularly battled at the front with Prevc and Japan’s Nozomi Maruyama, strengthening her position as one of the most consistent jumpers heading into the Olympic season.
Further down the Norwegian results, Heidi Dyhre Traaserud finished 10th and Silje Opseth 11th. The women’s World Cup resumes on December 31 with the next round in Garmisch‑Partenkirchen, as athletes continue their build‑up toward the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
