Norway’s Anna Odine Strøm, 27, claimed a commanding victory in the Women’s Ski Jumping World Cup event in Wisła, Poland on Thursday evening.
Strøm led the competition by five and a half points after the first round and secured the win with a 124‑meter final jump. The performance marked her fourth career individual World Cup victory and her first since February 2023, highlighting a timely resurgence ahead of the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in less than two months.
Viaplay expert and former jumper Anders Jacobsen called the result “unique,” noting that Strøm delivered two solid jumps and also topped qualification earlier in the day.
Heidi Dyhre Traaserud finished a strong fourth after climbing from seventh place following the first round, underscoring a promising day for the Norwegian women.
Speaking to the organizers after the win, Strøm said it felt good to be back delivering at a high level and that she had been jumping well throughout the day.
The article also references broader Norwegian Olympic context, including comments from Halvor Egner Granerud in the lead‑up to Milano–Cortina 2026.
