The final individual competition of the women’s Summer Grand Prix took place in Klingenthal on Saturday. Poland had two point-scorers: Anna Twardosz finished 19th on the day, while Nicole Konderla-Juroszek was 29th.

The competition itself was dominated by Japan’s Nozomi Maruyama, who twice reached the hill size (around 140 m) and won the event. With that victory she also sealed the overall Summer Grand Prix title, finishing 70 points ahead of Slovenia’s Nika Prevc and 214 points ahead of Japan’s Sara Takanashi.

Although the Polish athletes did not feature in the fight for the Klingenthal podium, Twardosz concluded the series with a standout achievement: 8th place overall on 280 points — a landmark result for Poland in the women’s SGP. Her strong overall came largely from two third-place finishes in September at Rasnov, where she reached the podium twice. In the overall standings, Pola Bełtowska placed 26th with 74 points, and Nicole Konderla-Juroszek was 34th with 51 points.

The program in Klingenthal continues with a mixed team event on Sunday. On Saturday the men’s competition was also scheduled, with live coverage offered by the outlet.
