Big Changes! This is How the New Ski Jumping World Cup Season Will Look

A sensational decision by FIS! On Friday, a special meeting took place where the preliminary schedule for next season's Ski Jumping World Cup was presented. As a result, ski jumpers will not compete in the well-known Norwegian tournament Raw Air next winter. This is not all, as a big return to the World Cup calendar is anticipated.
On April 12, 2025, at 13:03, the world of Polish ski jumping is abuzz with the storm surrounding the removal of competitions in Wisła from the World Cup calendar. The reason for this decision stems from the lack of agreement to stage a combined competition for both men and women on the Adam Małysz ski jump. However, there is still hope for a positive resolution — the Polish Ski Association president, Adam Małysz, has taken action on this issue.
The preliminary schedule revealed a total of 35 competitions for the athletes next season, comprising 29 individual events, three mixed competitions, two team events, and only one pair event.
Also included in the calendar are the world championships in flight in Oberstdorf and the Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. Notably, the ski jumpers will leave Europe twice for events in Lake Placid and Sapporo. It is also noteworthy that for the first time in 11 years, the World Cup will return to Swedish Falun.
The last time competitions of this stature were held in this town was in 2014. The final confirmation of the schedule is expected on May 8, according to Adam Bucholz from Skijumping.pl.
