The Four Hills Tournament finale in Bischofshofen produced dramatic qualification results — and Poland will feature strongly in the KO duels. According to Przegląd Sportowy, there will be at least two (in fact three) Polish pairings in the head-to-head round in Bischofshofen. On paper the easiest draw looks to be for the Polish team leader, 18‑year‑old Kacper Tomasiak.

Kamil Stoch was the best performing Pole in training on the Paul‑Ausserleitner‑Schanze and is bidding farewell to the Four Hills cycle this season — he has already announced he will retire after the current season and will no longer compete in the series he has won three times. In qualification Stoch jumped well but was outperformed by Tomasiak and Maciej Kot. Importantly all Polish jumpers qualified securely for the competition.

KO pairings in Bischofshofen (as listed):

  • Kacper Tomasiak — Alex Insam
  • Maciej Kot — Paweł Wąsek
  • Kamil Stoch — Dawid Kubacki

The Four Hills standings are currently led comfortably by Domen Prevc, who has more than a 40‑point advantage over second‑placed Jan Hoerl. In the first round Prevc will be paired against Mackenzie Boyd‑Clowes. The Bischofshofen contest, traditionally held on Epiphany (6 January), serves as the tournament finale; the trial round is scheduled for 15:00 and the first competition round starts at 16:30.
