Austria's women ski jumpers will contest two World Cup events in Villach on Monday and Tuesday. Since Thomas Diethart took over as head coach in the summer, the team has already achieved four podium finishes despite the retirement of Jaci Seifriedsberger and the injury to Eva Pinkelnig.
Diethart, who won the Four Hills Tournament in 2013/14 as an athlete, said he also draws on advice from Germany's head coach Heinz Kuttin. "In 2014 I jumped under him as an athlete. If I have questions about things that have happened before, he is of course my first point of contact. We get on great," Diethart said.
The article notes that Diethart is in his first season as Austria's women's head coach and highlights the team's positive results so far despite personnel changes. It also mentions that he maintains a good working relationship with Kuttin and consults him when needed.
