Domen Prevc of Slovenia was crowned Olympic champion on the large hill at Milan–Cortina 2026 while France's Valentin Foubert finished 17th.
Six days after narrowly missing a first Olympic medal with a fifth place on the normal hill, Valentin Foubert (23) again reached the final on Saturday in Milan–Cortina but could not repeat his earlier success. He was 16th after the first jump and moved up one spot when Austrian Daniel Tschofenig was disqualified for boots that were 4 millimetres too wide. That result allowed Foubert to advance to the final round—while his French teammates Jules Chevret (33rd) and Enzo Milesi (43rd) were eliminated.
A bit weaker on his second jump, Foubert ultimately finished 17th, at a comfortable distance from the winner Domen Prevc. Prevc—who leads the World Cup by a wide margin and served as Slovenia’s flagbearer alongside his sister Nika, also a top jumper—had underperformed on the normal hill with only a sixth place but recovered on Saturday to claim his second Olympic title in Milan–Cortina, having already won gold in the mixed team event. Japan’s Ren Nikaido and Poland’s Kacper Tomasiak completed the podium.
Full results for the men's large hill contest are available via the Olympic schedule and results pages.
