All German jumpers make the Bischofshofen final
At the qualification for the final Vierschanzentournee competition in Bischofshofen on Monday evening (05.01.2026) all five German jumpers — Philipp Raimund, Felix Hoffmann, Andreas Wellinger, Pius Paschke and Karl Geiger — secured places for the tournament final. Philipp Raimund was the best German in qualifying, finishing sixth overall.
Prevc wins convincingly — Hoffmann struggles with knee pain
The qualification was won emphatically by current tournament leader Domen Prevc, who produced the only 140‑metre jump. Austria's Stephan Embacher reached 138 metres and took second place. Raimund reached 135 metres and celebrated his effort in the outrun. Felix Hoffmann, who still harbours small hopes in the overall standings, finished eleventh; he reported knee problems that have troubled him for a few jumps and said he might take a break after the tournament.
Wellinger ahead of Paschke — Geiger has a difficult day
Andreas Wellinger produced a solid jump of 127.5 m to finish 23rd and was the third‑best German, just ahead of Pius Paschke in 25th. Wellinger said he had been able to start his jumping again in training the way he ended in Innsbruck and that the rhythm on the long Bischofshofen inrun suited him. Karl Geiger had a tougher day: he only qualified in 43rd. Geiger admitted the transition from Innsbruck to Bischofshofen's long inrun was difficult, but his qualification jump showed more intensity and he said the team would work on things for the competition the next day.
