Austria’s Lisa Eder followed up her third place on the normal hill with a sixth place on the large hill in Falun on Sunday. She recorded jumps of 122.5 m and 119.5 m, which left her clearly off the podium this time.
At the top, defending overall World Cup winner Nika Prevc of Slovenia secured her first victory of the season with a 132 m jump, finishing 7.9 points ahead of Japan’s Nozomi Maruyama, who had won the first three competitions of the season. Norway’s Eirin Maria Kvandal completed the podium in third.
Eder said snowfall during qualification unsettled her and that the inrun dynamics were difficult from the takeoff table. The event also served as an initial feel for the Falun hills that will host the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2027. “They’re cool hills—we could definitely jump here more often, even if it was a bit windy this weekend,” added Eder, who is in a relationship with Manuel Fettner.
Austria’s Julia Mühlbacher took 12th to score World Cup points, while Hannah Wiegele missed the top‑30 final. The women’s World Cup continues Thursday and Friday in Wisła, Poland, with two large‑hill competitions.
