Poland’s 18‑year‑old Kacper Tomasiak has been one of the early revelations of the Ski Jumping World Cup season. His performances were recognized by the official FIS Ski Jumping profile, which posted a compilation video of his best jumps on the X platform and wrote that they are eager to see his first World Cup appearances on home soil in Wisła.
Despite a difficult start for the Polish team overall, Tomasiak has been scoring points—he was the only Pole in the points at the recent Ruka competitions. After five individual events, the overall World Cup standings are led by Slovenia’s Anže Lanišek (356 points), followed by compatriot Domen Prevc (270) and Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi (266). Kamil Stoch and Kacper Tomasiak each have 73 points, placing them joint 16th.
The World Cup now heads to Wisła on 6–7 December, where two individual events will offer another opportunity for Tomasiak and the Polish team to improve their positions in the overall standings.
