Janne Ahonen has been sent to the wild terrains of Lapland, where he is tasked with competing against other celebrities in the popular Finnish entertainment show "Suure Seikkilu". In the winter, the famous jumper works as an expert for Finnish television, but he has a different job in his daily life. During his career competing against Adam Małysz, he became known for not seeking the limelight. This remains true as he navigates a tough period, currently going through a divorce.

In March, Ahonen showcased his skills at an exhibition jump where he outperformed his fellow Finn Toni Nieminen. While he continues to work with electric vehicle charging systems, he remains a beloved figure in ski jumping. Yet, news of his impending divorce has surfaced, complicating his personal life. "A formal divorce application has not yet been filed, but it is true that one is on the way," noted Ahonen in an interview, emphasizing the seriousness of his situation.

Expected to appear in the show beginning April 12, Ahonen's participation hints at his ongoing connection to the public, albeit he prefers not to engage in media drama. "Some media revel in such details but it's a genuine situation for my family and needs to be treated seriously," Ahonen added.

Ahonen has maintained a high competitive standard even after professional retirement, winning the prestigious Four Hills Tournament multiple times and earning the Crystal Globe in the 2003/2004 and 2004/2005 seasons. He is also a two-time Olympic silver medalist.

As he faces these current personal challenges, Ahonen's experience and influence continue to resonate within the sport. Keep an eye on how his journey unfolds as he balances his career and this difficult chapter in his life.
