18-year-old from Poland on the brink of a shock — here's the World Cup overall standings
Originally published in Przegląd Sportowy Onet on January 04, 2026
Kacper Tomasiak had another very successful performance. The Polish jumper finished 8th in Innsbruck and added valuable points to his FIS Ski Jumping World Cup overall tally. The 18-year-old now has 284 points. Below is the complete ranking.
After the first round Tomasiak — leader of our squad — was in 9th place with a jump of 126 m. In the second round the 18-year-old added one more metre and ultimately finished 8th, the best result among the Polish competitors. That result also kept him just outside the top ten in the overall World Cup standings, in 11th place after the Ga-Pa event.
No changes occurred at the very top of the table: Domen Prevc, although he did not win this time, extended his huge lead. The Slovenian currently has 1130 points and leads Ryoyu Kobayashi by 368 points. Before Innsbruck the gap between that duo was 314 points.

Behind Kobayashi, his compatriot Ren Nikaido moved up; Nikaido (winner at Bergisel) is third with 629 points. The ranking continues with Philipp Raimund (603 pts), Anže Lanišek (588 pts) and Felix Hoffmann (550 pts). Only seventh is the best Austrian, Daniel Tschofenig (505 pts).
As for the other Poles, on Sunday only Dawid Kubacki scored World Cup points — the 35-year-old collected a single point for 30th place. In the overall table the Seefeld 2019 champion sits 39th with 32 points. Kamil Stoch is 23rd (135 pts), Piotr Żyła 27th (96 pts), Paweł Wąsek 35th (46 pts) and Maciej Kot 38th (36 pts).
Next race of the 2025/2026 season will be on Tuesday, 6 January. The Tournee will wrap up as usual in Bischofshofen. Live coverage will be available on Przegląd Sportowy Onet.
